  1.                                Bogle !                           
  2. RULES      
  3.       This game is based on the Milton Bradley game of almost the
  4. same name. (A coincidence , surely!).  The object of the game is
  5. to spell as many words as possible with letters given in a four
  6. by four matrix.
  7.      Each letter in the word must be next to the preceding
  8. letter.  For example in the following grid:
  9.  
  10.           A    S    T    R
  11.  
  12.           Q    W    X    Y
  13.  
  14.           R    R    T    U
  15.  
  16.           B    E    C    F
  17.  
  18.       Starting with the letter "W" you can go to the letter "A",
  19. from "A" you can go to "S" to finally spell "WAS".  You may start
  20. a word with any letter in the grid.  Other words you could create
  21. using this grid include "CUTE", "CUTER","SAW"...
  22.  
  23.      Note that you could NOT spell the word "SWAT": you can go
  24. from "S" to "W" to "A" but that "T" is not next to the "A".
  25.  
  26. MOUSE CONTROL
  27.         Just click on any letter using the right mouse button to
  28. start your word.  The next letters available to you will be high
  29. lighted.  Keep clicking on letters until you have formed a word 
  30. then press either of the "Enter Word" buttons.  Alternatively,
  31. you could have clicked on the LAST letter of your word using the
  32. RIGHT mouse button or DOUBLE CLICKED on it: this has the 
  33. same effect as clicking on the last letter and clicking on the
  34. "Enter Word" button.  Do not click on the last letter with the
  35. left mouse button and then the right button this will have no
  36. effect, click the last letter ONLY with the right mouse button,
  37. instead of clicking with the left button and then the "Enter
  38. Word" button.

  40.         If for some reason you have entered a wrong letter, you
  41. can go backwards by clicking on the "Erase Last Letter" button.

  43.         If you should wish to delete a previously made word from 
  44. your list, just highlight it and click the "Erase Highlited Word"
  45. button.  Note that the last word entered is always the default 
  46. highlighted word.

  48.         If you wish to end your game before the timer runs out
  49. just click on the Stop icon.  The game will count how many
  50. correct words you have and move you to the next round.

  52. EDIT
  53. Fonts:    This allows you to change the font used in the dice
  54.           set. The lower square with the letter "B" in it shows
  55.           you what each square will look like with the font
  56.           selected. Click on OK to choose that font.

  58. Dictionary:    This will allow you to remove certain words that
  59.                you either do not like or were incorrectly
  60.                entered.

  63. OPTIONS
  64. Word Length Scoring:    Instead of scoring by number of words, the      
  65.           points is based on the length of the words used.  The points
  66.           for a word are equal to the number of letters in that word.
  67.           There is a 30 point bonus for any word containing 7 or more
  68.           letters.  This option is only available BEFORE starting a game 
  69.           and cannot be changed once a game is started.

  71. Lines:    Some people like to see "lines" connecting each
  72.           consecutive letter.  If you are one of these types of
  73.           people, select the "Lines" option in any Option menu.

  75. Rounds:   The game normally consists of four separate rounds.
  76.           This can be changed anywhere from 1 to 6 rounds.

  78. Time:     Each round normally lasts 3 minutes.  This can be
  79.           changed to any number between 1 and 6 minutes.
